Takeharu acoustic guitars are very nice looking well-made guitars with a distinctive headstock. Three-piece bookmarked-backs and even some tortoise-shell pickguards (may be faux-tortoise...anyone know? the real thing may have been more common back in the 60's and 70's)Some have laminate tops, others solid. Well-made and nice sounding guitars...
my Takeharu wt 350 guitar. The guitar is made in 1977 and the serie number is 70609. I bought this guitar secondhand about 25 years ago for 250 guilders, that's about 125 euro now a dayes. I bought the guitar, because my other was broken. When i had the takeharu guitar in my hand, it felt realy good rihgt away. The neck is smaller than other acoustic guitars. So very easy to play with. The sound of the guitar is very bright and clear. And it was still in good condition. I use thinner strings on the guitar. The guitar stayes very well in tune even after not playing for a long time.
