Takeharu acoustic guitars are very nice looking well-made guitars with a distinctive headstock. Three-piece bookmarked-backs and even some tortoise-shell pickguards (may be faux-tortoise...anyone know? the real thing may have been more common back in the 60's and 70's)Some have laminate tops, others solid. Well-made and nice sounding guitars...
I found an Ft 100 on the Street, 1978. Saw this trashed guitar among all this other rubbish and picked it up. It looked interesting and I had never heard of the make before. I polished it up, put new tuners and machine heads on it, new pegs and strings. Been playing it for a few days now and I really enjoy it. sounds great. it is a beautifully crafted guitar. what a find!
I bought the same one (first hand) in 1977 in the west south of France. My second guitar when I was a begineer . 35 years after, this guitar is always mine and my favorite . A beautifull instrument with a great sound !.
